This Privacy Policy explains how Arafo SF ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application. Arafo SF helps farmers diagnose crop and plant health issues, connect with a farming community, and access weather and market information.
Information We Collect
Account information.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account.
Profile information.
You may add or edit information such as your region, which helps us show you relevant community posts and nearby suppliers.
Diagnosis photos and results.
Photos you take or select of your crops or plants are uploaded to diagnose plant health issues. We store the photo, the diagnosis results, and the date for your diagnosis history, so you can refer back to past scans.
Community content.
Posts, comments, and likes you make in the Community section are stored and shown to other users, along with your name and photo.
Location.
If you allow it, we use your device's location to show local weather. This is separate from the region you may enter in your profile.
Automatically collected information.
Like most apps, we may collect technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and crash or error logs, to help us maintain and improve the App.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- • Provide crop and plant diagnosis results
- • Show you your diagnosis history
- • Operate the Community feature (posts, comments, likes)
- • Show relevant weather for your location
- • Show market prices and nearby suppliers
- • Maintain your account and authenticate you
- • Improve and troubleshoot the App
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with the following categories of third parties, only as needed to operate the App:
Crop and plant identification services.
When you submit a photo for diagnosis, that photo is sent to our third-party plant and crop identification provider or AI-based analysis. Their handling of that image is governed by their own privacy practices in addition to ours.
Cloud infrastructure.
Your account data, diagnosis history, and community content are stored and run on Google Cloud infrastructure.
Weather data.
If you use the weather feature, your approximate location coordinates are sent to our weather data provider to retrieve local forecasts.
Legal requirements.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Arafo SF, our users, or others.
Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored and we use access controls to restrict who can read or write different types of data, and data in transit is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Data Retention
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data as described in our Account and Data Deletion policy, except where we need to retain limited information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. You can:

- • Delete individual posts or comments you've made

Children's Privacy
Arafo SF is not directed at children under 15, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Because we use cloud service providers that operate internationally, your information may be processed or stored in countries other than the one where you live, including countries that may have different data protection laws.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
